Explore the National Historic District of Downtown Savannah
Dating back to 1733, the heart of "America's First Planned City" is truly a sight to behold. City Market
Full of farmers and traders since the 1700s, this exciting four-block open air market is a top attraction in Historic Savannah. The market offers a unique collection of shopping, dining and entertainment where you can view local art, peruse fine goods, taste delectable dishes and experience special events, perfect for visitors of all types.
River Street
Head over to River Street for non-stop waterfront excitement. This section of town is home to boutique shops, top restaurants and bars. Be sure to catch a glimpse of the scenic waterfront where you can rent paddle bats and watch the cargo ships come and go. River Street is also home to famed waterfront festivals and firework displays.
Forsyth Park
As the largest park in the Historic District, this green urban getaway spans over 30 acres. Bring the whole family for an outing and soak in the sunshine with recreational sports and plenty of space for relaxing. The park features Forsyth Park Fountain and The Confederate Monument, honoring Savannah's Civil War history.
