NOAA’s Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council will hold a virtual meeting on Nov. 8, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. (EDT). The meeting will be held via GoToWebinar and can be accessed via the link posted below. The public is invited to attend.\

The council will elect new officers and receive briefings and updates on a variety of topics, including NOAA approval of a revised advisory council charter; status of recruitment efforts for five open council seats; an overview of research activities in the sanctuary during FY2021; NOAA\'s 10-year retrospective analysis of economic impacts of the 2011 Research Area designation; a status report from the council\'s 30x30 Subcommittee; an update on the sanctuary\'s visitor center development; and recognition of departing and incoming council members. \

Public comment will be taken at approximately 12:45 p.m. All agenda times are estimates and subject to adjustment. Anyone wishing to address the council should join the meeting no later than 11:45 a.m. in case the meeting progresses quickly and agenda items are completed earlier than expected. The public is encouraged to review the meeting agenda and contact any SAC member to discuss or provide comments on agenda items or any other subject of interest concerning marine conservation.\
